Below is a selection of the 2017 special events itinerary. Check back later for the full list of events.
Presidents and presidents-elect are invited to the 2017 AAUW Conference of State Presidents, a free half-day conference preceding the 2017 AAUW National Convention. The conference will help you become a stronger team leader and give you opportunities to network and connect with your fellow state presidents. During this conference, you’ll get top-notch leadership training, discuss ways to support your state board members in their roles, and learn how to identify and mentor up-and-coming leaders to ensure your state’s success for many years to come.
State and Branch AAUW Fund Chairs are invited to the 2017 Fund Chair Conference, a free half-day conference preceding the 2017 AAUW National Convention. This event will help you become an even stronger fund-raising leader by providing new fund-raising ideas, bolstering understanding of policies, and creating a space to share and learn from your fellow AAUW Fund Chairs. The session will be facilitated by a national and international fund-raising strategist.
State program vice presidents and vice presidents elect are invited to the Conference of State Program Vice Presidents, a free four-hour session to be held June 14, prior to the 2017 AAUW National Convention. This event will help you become an even stronger state program vice president by examining position requirements, learning how to build a team and integrate program goals with other state priorities, bolstering understanding of the resources available, and creating a space to share with and learn from your fellow AAUW state program vice presidents. The session will be facilitated by AAUW’s Branch Program Resource Committee.
